Rockbrook 2024

Hi! My name is Dosia and I am so excited to be back at Rockbrook this summer for the eighth year in a row (excluding 2020, of course). Camp is my favorite place in the whole world because it is am environment where everyone can be themselves and enjoy the beauty of nature at the same time, even if they find it hard to do that at home. Some of my favorite things to do at camp are swim in the lake, climb castle rock, and make people friendship bracelets. This is my first year on Rockbrook staff and I could not be more excited to get to know all the campers and counselors from a new perspective. I lived in Charlottesville, Virginia until I was seven years old when I moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts. Moving was really hard for me because I felt like I had to leave all my friends behind and start over, but camp has always been so important because it is an environment I know I can always come back to. In fact, my two best friends who I met at Rockbrook will be working on camp staff with me this year! I also have younger twin sisters who will be working in the dining hall as Hi-Ups like I did last year. I am so lucky to spend another summer at Rockbrook and I cannot wait for it to begin!

Hi! I’m Elizabeth (or Libby), I am 19 years old and I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes back in 2014. This is my first summer at Rockbrook Camp and visit to the US. I grew up in a city called York with my parents and two younger brothers (18 and 6 years old). I enjoy camping and I am always up for an outdoor adventure, but I will also very happily sit quietly with a good view and a couple of friends.

Hi everyone! My name is Olivia and this is my second year at RBC! I am so excited to swim in the lake and be silly with campers this summer. If I’m not in the pottery studio, you’ll find me reading a book on the Junior Lodge porch, braiding hair, swimming, or making a bracelet.
I am from Columbus, Ohio and I am graduating from THE Ohio State University with a psychology degree in August! Shortly after graduation I’ll be jumping right into my masters at OSU to get my M.Ed in Counselor Education. I am so pumped!
I cannot wait to see everyone this summer!

Hello! My name is Lexie Quirk, I am 20 years old and this is my first time at Camp Rockbrook, as well as traveling to North Carolina! I am from the beautiful state of Oregon where I spend my days (when it’s not raining 10 months out of the year) either hiking, swimming, or hanging out with friends and family! I am a senior at Bushnell University where I am working towards becoming a secondary teacher. My endorsement areas are language arts and science (I’m a big science geek).
Although this is my first year at Rockbrook, I grew up going to camps all year long! Those are some of the best memories I have growing up. Now I can’t wait to make more memories being a counselor! Some activities I love doing are arts and crafts, playing sports, yoga, and exploring finding cool plants and flowers! I can’t wait to meet everyone this summer!

Hi! I’m Aubrey and this will be my 5th summer at camp! I am from New Orleans, Louisiana and I absolutely love getting to spend time in the mountains every summer! One of my favorite things about camp is the beautiful scenery and weather, so I always like to be outside, at the lake, or on a porch reading a book or making a friendship bracelet. At camp I also love playing card games, rereading my favorite book (The Great Alone by Kristen Hannah), trying the different muffin flavors, joining my campers for mermaid laps, making crafts in Folklore, journaling about my day, sharing new bracelet patterns, and spending time with everyone. I can’t wait to see familiar faces and make new friends, and I am so excited to meet everyone!

Hey everyone! I’m Willow, and I’m super excited for my first summer at Rockbrook and my first time in the States! I grew up in the southeast of England and I come from a family of 5. I have an older brother and younger sister making me the middle child! My parents have always been super into sports which made me love sports too. I love being outdoors and I’m looking forward to making the best memories with you all this summer!

Hey y’all!!! I am so excited to be returning to camp for my 13 summer! I am a rising junior at the University of Georgia studying Social Work with a minor in General Business. When I am in Athens, I love to try new restaurants and go to football games (GO DAWGS). At camp you can find me sitting on the porch of the junior lodge or at the climbing tower! Outside of camp I love to explore new places and go backpacking. This summer I am looking forward to dressing up for all the themes and getting extra silly! I am so excited to meet all of the campers and new staff! I can’t imagine a summer without Rockbrook and I am looking forward to being back in the heart of the wooded mountains! See y’all soon!😁🏕️

Hi y’all!!! My name is Blair and I am SO excited to be back at Rockbrook for my 7th summer! I’m from Memphis, TN and will be attending the University of Virginia in the fall! When at camp you can usually find me frolicking on the hill with my campers or singing songs in the dining hall as loud as possible!! In my free time at home I enjoy shopping, reading, or doing really anything outside. I’m most looking forward to meeting my campers and laughing with you all this summer! YAY CAMP!!

Hi, I’m Jenny from Stuttgart, Germany and this will be my first summer at Rockbrook.
I am very excited to meet all the new people (kids and staff) and share my energy with them and spend an incredible summer together.
My favorite activities are sports and arts & crafts.
I can’t wait to compete with the whole community and capture great moments.
I also can’t wait to sit around the campfire, sing and dance with the kids and try S’More.
