Rockbrook 2024

I have grown up for most of my life in Glasgow, Scotland, where I live with my family, but also spent two years living in Singapore. From an early age I have been fortunate enough to experience trips and excursions similar to that which the Rockbrook Campers will be enjoying this summer, so I jumped at the opportunity of becoming a counsellor at Rockbrook! I am most excited to settle into life at camp and to become part of a team of counsellors and staff who are working together to create the best possible experience for the campers – and also to experience all the adventure, fun and friendship that Rockbrook has to offer for myself.

I have just completed my studies at University and will be graduating in the winter with a degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies. The performing arts and storytelling have been a hugely important part of my life and my participation in shows and creative projects has massively helped shape my confidence and ability to work with others. I believe creating performances, however big or small, to be the ultimate team sport! I am so excited to be taking on the role of building the Rockbrook play this summer and hope to bring the same experience of self-confidence and team work to the campers as I find in building a performance myself!

Hi! My name is Amanda and I’m sooo excited for my first summer at camp! I just finished my freshman year at the UNCC where I’m majoring in Philosophy and minoring in English. I was born in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico so I naturally love the beaches, mountains, and forests of this beautiful Earth! I know camp is going to be a blast and I can’t wait to get to know everyone and have a silly time with everyone!

Hi I’m Eve and I am from Nottingham, England! I am 23 years old and have lived in Nottingham my entire life. This will be my first summer at Camp Rockbrook and can’t wait to experience everything that camp has to offer!

I have grown up in a family of 5 being the youngest with 2 older brothers and of course Alfie (my dog). I have always loved the outdoors and have been on many camping holidays with my family growing up. I finished my university degree a year ago, gaining a teaching qualification and have since been working in a pre school. In my free time I enjoy seeing my friends, going to the cinema or going on a walk to find somewhere new.

I am excited for my first summer at Camp Rockbrook and can not wait to meet and learn from everyone within the Rockbrook community.

Hi everyone! I’m Sophia and this will be my 9th year at Rockbrook and first year as a staff member. I will be a senior at Occidental College in Los Angeles this upcoming fall. I’m majoring in Media Arts & Culture, which is just a fancy way of saying Film Studies. I’m a person who enjoys doing anything creative, like painting, drawing, photography, and video editing. During my time in college, I have been lucky enough to study in places like South Korea and Prague, and through those experiences, I gained a love for trying new things and embracing unexpected adventures.

As a camper, I always felt like my best, truest self at Rockbrook, and now as a counselor I hope to foster an environment where campers can feel the same. Coming back to Rockbrook after 6 years away, I am looking forward to feeling that camp magic again! I can’t wait to meet everyone and have a summer full of fun in the heart of the wooded mountains!

Hi!!! My name is Zoe and I am simply SO excited for my 7th summer at Rockbrook!! I am from Hiram, GA, and will be going to App State University this fall as a Freshman. Camp is definitely my home away from home which is why I am super eager to get back this summer! My all time favorite part of camp is the lake, it’s the place to go to find friends and fun, which is why you’ll find me by the lake during ANY free period! I can’t wait to get to camp and meet everyone, see tons of smiles, and dress up in tons of silly costumes! See you all soon!! 🏕️🌞😁

Hey there, hi there! My name is Sofia, I am 18 years old, I’m from Tampa, FL, and I will be attending Middlebury College in the Fall as a Freshman. I have lived in Tampa my whole life so I love the change of pace, location, and friends I get at camp (and I’m happy to say Middlebury will provide much more of that)! Camp is such a beautiful place to me because of the lifelong friends I have made here, the stress-free environment created when nature overpowers the need for technology, and the growth anyone can experience in every moment of every day. I cannot wait to encourage campers to be themselves daily, run with Rockbrook runners on the trail, and make a ton of new friendship bracelets.

Hi there! My name is Allie, and I am a rising Senior at NC State University. I am from downtown Charlotte, NC, and grew up getting away from the city life by coming to Rockbrook Camp. As a camper here, I learned the impact that mentorship and empowerment has on young girls, and look forward to supporting all my campers this summer!

I am so excited to be back at Rockbrook, my second home. My favorite activity then (and now) is horseback riding, and I still have the same pair of boots I used back then!

Hey y’all! My name is Estelle, I am from Baton Rouge Louisiana. I am a rising sophomore at Bucknell University. This will be my first year on staff, but my tenth year at camp! Some of my best memories are from being a camper at Rockbrook, so I am very excited to make more memories this summer. I love nature and enjoy sitting by the lake or on the hill. I am excited to meet everyone!

Hi!! I’m Brooke and I am sooo excited to come back to Rockbrook for my 5th year! I’m from Washington, DC and I’m a rising senior in high school. I have always loved going to camp and getting to be with some of my very favorite people. I met some of my best friends to this day at camp and I can’t wait to meet everyone this summer! I love being in the mountains and seeing the stars at night and walking around camp to talk with people, but most of all I love hanging out on all of the porches in the rocking chairs. I’m counting down the days until I get back to Rockbrook! I LOVE CAMP!!

Hi!! My name is Grace and I am beyond excited for my 7th summer at RBC! I am from Atlantic Beach, Fl and will be attending Sewanee: The University Of The South in the fall. In my free time I love spending time outside, going to the beach, and hanging out with friends. I can’t wait for another great summer filled with the best people in my favorite place!
